About ICP

Members of ICP are clinical psychologists endorsed by the Psychology Board of Australia to provide clinical services.

ICP has been representing Clinical Psychologists in private practice for over 30 years. Members are committed to maintaining the highest possible standards of training and professional development.

Clinical psychologists have advanced clinical training in treatment and management of mental health and personal problems. This training has equipped members to provide services to internationally recognised best practice standards.

Within ICP's membership can be found Clinical Psychologists who have advanced skills and qualifications in:

  • Child, adolescent, adult, couple, family and group treatments.
  • Working in the family, criminal and civil courts.
  • Providing services to organisations on industrial matters, staff management and systems development.
  • Psychological assessment.

The advanced training of ICP's members is recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia. All full members of ICP are endorsed by the Psychology Board of Australia to provide clinical psychology services.

Our membership directory (insert link) lists members' contact details, practice address and types of clients and problems with which they can assist. This brochure also supplies contact details for members. To support those who are moving towards endorsement ICP encourages associate members. These members are also listed in this brochure and on the website.

Clinical psychologists are the only group of psychologists in WA to whom unrestricted and maximum Medicare and private health fund rebates apply. The current Medicare rebate for a 50+ minute consultation is $124.50.

Private health fund rebates vary and clients are advised to check with their health fund for up to date rebate details.
