Williams, Sandy

Background

I have been working as a clinical psychologist for 25 years, and for 16 of those years I headed the clinical psychology program at Murdoch University. I am now in fulltime solo private practice, working from my home in South Fremantle which offers privacy for clients.

Areas of Focus

I see adults experiencing:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress and grief issues

Couple therapy has become a primary area of interest and focus in my practice.

Therapeutic Modalities

In individual therapy, I use a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural approaches. In couple therapy my approach is largely based on the approach used by Dan Wile, but I also draw on the work of the Gottmans and Susan Johnson.
